bait boat's £5 a day do me a faver !!!

Rate this Entry
just sean that bait boats are aloud on the pits from october till march ,, at a cost of £5 per day , i find this quite disturbing as the anglers are paying to fish the lake , and a bait boat is just a peice of tackle that might help the angler catch when the going is tough ,, just a unnessursary primum ,, what do you think,, there will be a charage for putting free bee's in next..

Its a simple question to answer. Dont use one then if you feel this way. Bluebell you can use a boat in the day ticket price, but the price is way above that of the pits...

I think its a good idea to charge will reduce the amount of times they are used, cemex charge for boat permits so why not the pits,
im not anti-boat and think they would help the fish to grow alot, (not allowing particles in boats) using good quality bait the fish would
grow alot bigger, but steve is right to offer any1 the choice to use them, and a fiver isnt that bad

i dont use one myself , but from a bussiness point of veiw , anglers tend to drop off this time of year so a little incentive might keep more angler's on the bank " ie boats " ,, sometimes if you give a little you got a lot , and a happy angler .

Spencer. I dont understand your first post based on your reply to mine... You made it quite clear your disgust over the extra fiver, then you see it from a business point of view and change your views...

Baitboats will be an ongoing issue for many years. Its not the boat thats the problem in many cases only the person behind the controler... However used in a proper way they can be a real edge.....

free spirit ,, i've not changed my view i think charging £5 is aplauling rearly , espaically on lakes as big as the pits . your quite right in saying that a boat can be a edge and in winter you need all the edge's you can get on the pit's , reducing disruption to your swim with baiting and feature finding is a big edge ,, and i think the anglers willing to fish through the colder month's on the pits should be able to use a boat " sensibly" of course without an extra charge ,, i just think that both the angler and the management would benifit ,, it's all about the money at alot of fisheries these day's ,, but the pits has allway's been reassonable and run very well ,, but £5 on top of your day ticket soon add's up to alot of money..

Understand your views and see where your coming from m8. If you look at it from the running of the complex, "Steve's perspective" Anyone paying the extra is more likely to obey the rules and not take the piss?? Thus adding to the discipline on the venue.

Like I said earlier baitboat discussions will out live us and well into the future m8.
