hi all came down with my mate sunday afternoon (13th) for a 2 nighter. fished the railway bank on pit 5, nothing sunday or monday, but at 6:30am tuesday morning my middle rod screamed off!! hooked into a stunning 32lb (on the dot) commom. cracking looking fish and a new pb!! ive got some photos but im rubbish with these things keeps telling me file too large, so as soon as the wife gets chance i'll get her to sort it. Pictures now uploaded as you can see :)

me and my mate fished pit 4 over night. caught a 26.2lb carp.
it was on the 1st peg you come to with the train lines behind you.
Fish was caught right in the left corner... we had a few knocks thru the night but didnt catch nothing else.
Hope to go again in a few weeks time.
Does any 1 know if theres bigger in there or not??

Hubble and Bury fly up the A1
It was nice to welcome the A1 Pits complex back into the BCAC portfolio for 2012 and not surprisingly the venue sold out quickly. Some of the most recognisable names in the BCAC had booked on and were keen to give the 52 acre Pit 6 a good going over, with one of them the consistent Nash Bait pairing of Phil Bury and Joe Hubble. Alright everyone just got back from a 3 nighter on 4 had a good look round plenty ov fish showing all over the lake decided to set up on the middle peg ov the railway bank first night i had a bream at half 1 in the morning then thurs afternoon from 1 pm onwards i had 2 carp both commons first was 19lb 2oz 2nd was 18lb 4oz nothing thru the night untill around the same time again fri afternoon i then had my final fish which again was a common on the scales at 21lb 10oz, fri night didn't produce any fish just the odd liner all fish fell to cell bottom baits. didn't get any pics ov the 18lber but 1 ov the 19lber and a couple ov the 21lber

PLEASE NOTE
Just to inform all who fish pit on the 13th 14th and 15th of this month (april) pit 6 will be hosting a qualifying round for the bcac. This means pit 6 will be closed from thursday the 12th of april from 6pm till the match end's on Sunday. You will not be able to drive around pit 6 while the match is in process as the roads will be blocked off. We will also have the nash road show onsite on the 14th and 15th the same time as the Bcac is taking part as they are following the contest around certain venues this will more then likely be held along the back of pit 5 on the a1 bank

Droped in corner of 4 and had a luvely looking 18lb common.
Also had a couple of fish sucking at mixers,but quite timid.

Me and 2 mates Fished sunday and monday night. Had 14 barbel 4 bream and 2 chub between us. I had 6 barbel all in the 8lb bracket., even caught one in the day.. My mate smashed his pb with an 11lb 8oz beauty.. See you on the bank soon ,, the big blue van..

Hi Guys me and a couple of mates fished pit 6 for 24 hours sat to sun. Fished single cell 15mm about 60 yards out from the trackside . I fished one pop up and the other just on the bottom had a few runs on the pop up and plenty of fish showing but couldnt get any on oh well . but apart from that we met the bailiff whos a nice guy and made us feel very welcome. And cant wait to go back .So if theres any1 out there that could give me a few hints on baits and tatics i would be chuffed as i just cant seem to break my

Hi All. Had 3 2 night sessions in the last 3 weeks but haven't had chance to put any posts up. 1st session I fished the barge peg for 2 nights with a mate n never had a bite, 1 barbel caught between 4 anglers. Last weekend went back for 2 nights to pegs I normally fish and had 23 barbel between 2 of us from 5lb to 10.14oz. Just got back from 2 nights fishing the same swims and had 15 barbel n 3 chubb between 2 of us from 4.8oz to 9.12oz. I've attached pics of the better fish

Did my pb barbel 13lb 2oz last month so wanted more of a challenge.
Met Webbo fishing for zander really nice guy and he gave me some tips on zander fishing(thanks webbo).
So give it ago did a 48hour session first zander bang on 9lb followed by pike 13lb followed by 3lb 8oz zander all in first 24 hours .
Second 24 hours not a bleep but still well chuffed.

Hi All. Went for my usual 2 nighter on Fri/Sat with a friend (carper on his second visit to the stretch). His 1st visit a fourtnight ago he had 1 barbel n a couple of chubb n bream while I had 6 barbel fishing different tactics and baits. Alreet chaps, just a quick post on what went on this weekend just gone!! Me and a couple of mates started on pit 6 friday night, trent bank side. Had little action by sunday morning so our kid pi**ed off home and me and my other pal decided to give pit 4 a go to save a possible blank! Sunday night didn't even produce a bream!! lol thought that would have been a banker to be honest!!

decieded to have a go at a1 pits, fished split bank on 5 and 6,half way up on pit 5. spoke to anglers who were fishing, the people were great giving me plenty of infomation, and help locating features. fished just at back of fisrt gravel bar in weed,got me a 28 lb common at 04;00 in the morning
my mate who was fishing pit 6 at the back of me had 14 lb mirror and a great 27 lb common. 3 fish between us in 20 hours ;)

Was hoping to get down on Friday for a couple of nights but work put paid to that, so I had to settle for Sat dinner start. Set upstrem rod up on usual groundbait feeder & halibut pellets & downstream rod with the new boilies I previously mentioned I was going to be testing & a new groundbait. Had my 1st bream at 15.00& barbel at 17.30 both on the upstream groundbait & pellet rig.

Alright lads did a quick overnighter on 4 last night a1 bank wiv my mate ricky had 3 runs in all first 1 came around 10pm which i hit into got the fish all way to the egde ov the net only to lose it before netting it looked around 15-16lb common nothing throu the night for either ov up got up around 7.45am cos on previous sessions on that bank i've had runs around 8am an sure enough it happened again about 5to8 screamer this time i did land it weighin 17lb 8oz common. Back out went the rod when around 11.20am

Alright lads only just got round to posting this (takin pics from mi phone to pc etc) but this fish was taken at 8am on sat 2nd july from the a1 bank ov 4 weighin 20lb 4oz lovely common not a lip or scale out ov place also had a bream around 6lb fri night. I'm not doing bad at the moment in the past 4 weeks only doing fri night till sat dinner i've had a 4 fish (5 if you inc the bream lol) 14lb 16lb an 20lb common an a 21lb mirror. hiya chaps just back from a session on pit 6
after a weeks fishing the fish spawning etc it was very hard the first part of the week with nothing till tuesday morning the rod ripped off and resulted in a cracking twotone common full twotone aswell which went 20lb 2oz next fish went 21lb 4oz another common, then another rod went off which felt very heavy and slow, when it got to the net all i saw was a big mirror laid there surely a 30 and yes my first 30 from 6 weighing 30lb 14oz,s

iv just had 3 (shall i -shant i go) hours on the river don in rotherham..........(had to get back for the last springwatch) !!! gald i went,just a rod and apron and bits n bobs half a pint of hemp n maggs we stickfloat.........12lb of roach/dace/chub and got a belting dace of 10oz.............and 9 barbel between 10z and 2lb,lovely fight on 1.7lb hooklength.......... this stretch seems to be full of the "babys"....................just read a certain "individuals" blog and be looks of 2 pictures on there im glad i wasnt on the trent !!!!

Hi guys and girls, Just had my first ever ever 48 hour session on pit 5 having only seen the complex once 3 years ago for a quick overnighter on pit 6, and i have to say what a cracking fishery you guys have here. I arrived on monday and set up in the corner on the A1 bank - 4/5 split facing into a fairly strong wind with fish showing very close in. 3 hours later i had banked an 11lb common and a 22lb mirror. Then the wind started to turn and the fish went with it. Unfortunately the rest of the a1 bank and 5/6 split

First session of the year and what a session...done a 48hr on mega gap fri and saturday,had nothing but liners friday,
But sunday morning at 3.30am all my birthdays came at once with this 39.06,over the moon with it..it was caught at range on a pineapple pop up
